Dr. Virginia Melmed received her D.D.S. degree in 2004 from University of California (UCLA) School of Dentistry, where she was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship for her academic and leadership excellence, and graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University in mathematics and chemistry.
Originally from Alabama, Dr. Virginia Melmed is UCLA trained and best known for her exceptional work in cosmetic dentistry and her gentle, pain-free care. She has an impeccable eye for esthetics and is passionate about creating beautiful smiles.
Born with missing incisors, Dr. Melmed has experienced first-hand the positive impact that dentistry can have on one’s quality of life. “Professionally, I am most proud of having the experience and clinical understanding to positively impact someone’s life,” says Dr. Virginia Melmed. “I love when my patients leave my office smiling more than when they came in.”
In 2020, Dr. Melmed completed over 30 hours of implant surgeries on the IDIA Charity Mission to the Dominican Republic. She has volunteered in Israel through the organization Dental Volunteers for Israel (DVI). Dr. Melmed also provided treatment to victims of terror attacks through the ATZUM Tooth Fairy Fund. She truly enjoys taking care of others.

When she’s not working on smiles, Dr. Melmed’s world revolves around family. Married with three kids, she’s been deeply involved in her school’s PTA as VP of Community & Enrichment. And as a homeroom mom, she’s always there for her kids. Outside of work and family, she loves traveling, fishing, water-skiing, and hanging out with her mini goldendoodle, Nash.

Welcome to our office. My name is Ashley, and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I graduated from St. Petersburg College’s with my Associates of Applied Science in Dental in 2011. Recognizing the importance of ongoing education, I am actively pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.
With 13 years of hands- on experience, I have refined my skills in providing comprehensive dental hygiene care. I have worked with diverse patient populations, demonstrating an ability to adapt to individual needs and foster a comfortable and trusting environment.
As a passionate advocate for oral health and a committed dental professional, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field of dental hygiene. I have a genuine interest in helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral well-being. I am dedicated to promoting smiles and optimal oral health through my gentle, comfortable cleanings.
I love meeting new people, making long lasting connections and educating patients on their oral health. I am excited to work alongside Dr. Melmed. Collaborating our expertise, empathy and passion for promoting health, we strive to make a positive impact on the well-being of those we serve.
Outside of work, I am a mom to two beautiful children, Makenna and Levi. I absolutely love being a mom and spending time with my little family and friends. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, I enjoy the sunshine state life and being outdoors.

My name is Neshaliz Elicier. I was born in Puerto Rico, but I grew up in Massachusetts. As a teenager, I attended Great New Bedford Regional Technical High School, where I graduated as a dental assistant. During my senior year, I interned at various dental offices to enhance my skills as an assistant. Through working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, I have learned the importance of catering to each patient based on their individual needs rather than their age. Relocating from Massachusetts to Florida posed challenges, but my children and I have grown to love Florida and its climate. Our family enjoys nature walks and wildlife exploration. Florida has brought us numerous new experiences, which we are thrilled about. While the move initially had its difficulties, discovering Hila Dental has made it all worthwhile. I look forward to meeting new patients and hearing about their journeys. Here at Hila, we don’t just focus on dental work, but we also focus on our patients’ care.

Hi! I’m Joselyn Alvarez. My family is from Mexico, but I was raised in Florida. I completed my Registered Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions degree at UMA in 2021 and have cherished the opportunities and experiences it has brought me. When Dr. Melmed took over our dental practice in 2023, I was already part of the team. Dr. Melmed’s compassionate care and demeanor are what truly resonate with our patients and me at Hila Dental. In my spare time, I cherish moments and enjoy spending time with my supportive family. I enjoy playing golf, experimenting with new desserts, and discovering amusing dental posts on social media to bring laughter to my colleagues.
